Jeremy: Try getting in with a particular promoter or venue. Initially, you’ll probably need to work for free as you build your portfolio (there’s an article on the topic in my Going Pro series), but it’ll open doors for you and let you get some killer shots for your port.

This is a great perspective on pursuing a photography career. There are a lot of articles about how you’ll need time, equipment, focus, etc. but that’s true with any career. This is great. Thanks.

This is a great article. Also came on over from flickr. Your thoughts are particularly interesting to me because I have done a fair amount of concert work but with a limited number of artists. I’d really like to expand my coverage to more artists, even though this is primarily a hobby for me.
