My little photography business has come a long way in the last year, but I must say, it has taken a lot of hard work! A few months ago I realized that some important things were slipping through the cracks. I spent all my time shooting and processing photos. I realized that if I was going to continue growing my business and meet my professional goals, I would need some help. With that in mind, I decided to launch an intern program. Before I knew it I was swamped with applicants!
I looked at about 100 applications, and in the end, I selected people whom I already knew and trusted — people who already knew and trusted me, as well. For those who haven’t met my interns, allow me the pleasure of an introduction.
Brittany is my personal assistant. She helps out with just about everything, and she’s the model in several of my favorite photos. She’s managing my private photography services for upscale clientele.
Ruth is managing a lot of my fashion photography resources, and she’s my primary assistant for my nightlife photography shoots. She posts her own nightlife photos on PartyUtah.com.
Caitlin is a talented photographer who makes a great assistant, and does a fantastic job keeping the edit queue moving behind the scenes. She also manages stock photography licenses.
I don’t know how I ever got along without them. Hiring help was one of the best business moves I ever made. Curiously, there were only a small handful of male applicants. I expected it to be slanted the other way. Maybe it’s because a lot of my personal contacts are models, and the word got out a lot via word of mouth.

Wish you every success with your business
