Not a lot of photos today, mostly networking and fun:
We Live in Public party. Mahalo.com founder, Jason Calacanis got us in (Thanks, Jason!). While we were there, we met Doug Pray, the director of Scratch! (and Hype!, Infamy, Big Rig, and Surfwise).

We took forever finding Jason, but we met so many awesome people in the process of the hunt, that it all turned out well in the end. We finally did meet up with Jason for a few minutes before we had to run to Downstairs to see Paul Oakenfold play. You rarely see a door as tight as this one. The club only holds about 100 people and everybody wanted in. We were invited by Paul’s manager on stage after shooting Paul’s show Saturday, and we still had to wait over an hour in the biting cold — next to Mac Africa — an awesome promoter for elite clubs in Hollywood.

I wish I had time to shout out to all the amazing people we met tonight, but I have to catch a couple hours of sleep and head right back into Park City for yet another day of festival madness. Another awesome party going on at Downstairs tonight, and a private party I’d really like to attend. Times like this, I wish I could clone myself or just keep going and catch up on sleep next week!

The Sundance Film Festival has officially kicked off, and that means I am going to be very busy for a while. Please be patient while I get things together and process thousands of photos over the course of the next two weeks. I’m trying to remember to post short video clips over on my Qik stream.

As you can probably see, I have a new logo / watermark. Please let me know what you think. The eye isn’t gone completely — it still appears on all my business cards, and as my avatar on several social networks, but I was in serious need of a more professional look. Sooner or later the website design will be updated as well.

Thursday I got new business cards for Sundance. I thought a small batch would get me through a few days — long enough to order a batch of 5,000 before the next big party next week. Silly me. In SLC, half the time I try to give somebody a card, they refuse because they already know who I am and where to find my photos. During Sundance, a lot more people are from out of town, and nobody knows who I am, so the cards fly out of my hands as fast as I can snap photos (which is pretty fast – I snapped over 600 last night). I wasn’t quite prepared for that difference. I ran out after only two days, and I was trying to conserve them!

WARNING: Sundance eats business cards. Bring extras!
